AirNote Updates

We have fixed an issue that could close AirNote unexpectedly when opening the print dialog for a Note or document.

You can print through the usual document controls, with the existing page layout and Note details included. This removes a disruptive interruption when preparing paper records.

Session Prep brings together the latest session transcript and the client’s Running Formulation into a concise preparation card. It highlights relevant context, follow-ups and possible directions for the next appointment.

This helps you reconnect with unfinished work without rereading every record. Suggested directions remain separate from agreed plans, and the source session date stays visible so you can review the context before using it.

Running Formulation brings a client’s saved therapy Notes together into a concise working understanding of their concerns, patterns, strengths and uncertainties. With automatic updates enabled, it refreshes after a new therapy Note is saved.

It gives you a clearer view of the work across sessions while keeping proposed connections tentative and available for your review. If an update cannot be completed, the previous successful formulation is retained.

If your Mac sleeps or AirNote closes while a Note is being generated, AirNote can now check the original request when you return and retrieve the result. You can also retry a connection interruption without starting the same Note again.

This helps you pick up unfinished paperwork with less repetition. AirNote checks that the saved request still matches the session before applying it, so a recovered result cannot overwrite newer source changes.

Ask AirNote now sits at the bottom of the session workspace, ready for questions about the current transcript, Note and context. Answers appear in a focused panel and can be copied in one click.

This makes it easier to explore themes or clarify details without leaving the session you are reviewing. Follow-up questions keep the earlier exchange in context.

AirNote can now reconnect microphone or system audio automatically if macOS interrupts capture during an active session. The session continues using a new recording segment, with a clear “Reconnecting audio…” status while it recovers.

Any gap remains visible in the session so you know what happened, while audio already captured is preserved. This reduces the chance that a temporary audio failure ends the whole recording.

New Mic and System indicators show live audio activity in the AirNote toolbar. You can quickly confirm that your microphone and the client’s audio are available before and during a session.

The controls also surface permission or connection issues and offer straightforward retry options. That gives you earlier warning when an audio source needs attention.

Dictated session summaries can now run for longer than ten minutes. AirNote transcribes them in manageable sections while you speak and saves progress as the dictation continues.

If AirNote closes or transcription is interrupted, the captured dictation can be retried instead of starting again. This makes adding a detailed post-session summary more dependable.

Printed Notes and saved PDF exports now include the Note title, client name and session date. Multi-page Notes are rendered as complete, properly paginated documents.

This gives you cleaner records that are easier to identify, file and share through your usual workflow.

AirNote now monitors memory pressure while it separates speakers during a session. If your Mac becomes too busy, AirNote safely pauses that local processing and keeps the recorded audio ready to continue, rather than forcing the speaker model to run under pressure.

When the session ends, AirNote waits briefly for capacity to return and retries from the saved audio. This helps AirNote process sessions more reliably on older Macs with less available memory. The transcript and Note screens explain the delay, and if speaker separation still cannot finish safely, AirNote preserves a usable transcript without speaker labels so the session is not lost.

Supervision Summaries now keep a structured record for every substantively discussed case, bringing its background, formulation, supervisory input, actions and relevant risk or ethics context together.

Concise summaries can be shorter, but a case is not dropped simply because a lower detail level is selected. Case references remain limited, consistent and grounded in the supervision source.

AirNote can now draft a formulation from original clinician-entered Client History, even when there is no usable Note from a recorded session. All seven built-in formulation templates can use this saved context.

The history stays distinct from recorded-session evidence, and historic risk or plans are not treated as current claims. If regeneration fails or newer source edits supersede it, the reviewed draft is preserved.

A new setting lets generated therapy Notes refer to the treating therapist as “I”, “me” and “my” rather than “the therapist”.

This changes the writing style without changing speaker attribution, evidence rules, anonymity choices or quotations. Other professionals and uncertain speakers remain clearly distinguished.

AirNote can now create a dedicated Professional Meeting Summary for non-clinical conversations such as committee, training and team meetings. Select it before recording, or switch after an unsuitable therapy Note without recording the conversation again.

The summary keeps decisions, owners, deadlines and unresolved actions grounded in the meeting source. Meeting content stays separate from Client History and other clinical workflows, while the summary remains available to review, edit and export.

AirNote can now use an optional, on-device vocabulary pass to improve specialist terms in new recordings, including medication names that general speech recognition can mishear.

The setting is on by default and can be changed for future recordings. If the extra correction cannot be completed safely, AirNote keeps the original transcript rather than risking a forced replacement.

AirNote can now reconstruct the duration of an interrupted session from the readable audio before making it available for retry. It preserves valid saved time, excludes pauses and time outside the app, and leaves the surviving audio unchanged.

For supported remote sessions, AirNote can also reapply echo reduction before the recovered recording is transcribed. If that cannot be completed safely, AirNote keeps the raw fallback and flags the limitation for review.

AirNote now commits important session and client changes as complete units. If a save fails, the affected action can be retried without folding unrelated edits into the same recovery.

Deletion is safer too: the library change is confirmed before local files are cleaned up, and unfinished cleanup can resume later. This reduces the chance of a storage error or restart leaving a record only partly changed.

AirNote now handles temporary interruptions during longer-running Note, document, formulation and report generation more safely. Pending work can recover at the right stage instead of creating duplicate work.

Each result remains tied to the sources and draft that started it. If you edit or replace that material while generation is underway, an older result is prevented from overwriting the newer work.

AirNote can now create a structured ADHD assessment report from sources you choose, including the current transcript and Note, previous Notes, Client History, Additional Context, collateral information and measures.

The draft keeps clinically important information attributed to its source and includes a diagnostic conclusion only when the clinician supplies and confirms it. AirNote assembles the report for review without independently making the diagnosis.

AirNote now lets you add supporting context to a client record as text or through PDF, Word and spreadsheet files. That material can be considered when creating Notes, client documents, formulations and reports.

This makes it easier to carry forward information that sits outside one session—such as historical notes, correspondence, assessment results or therapist comments—without repeatedly copying it into each draft.

AirNote now applies local echo reduction automatically when a remote session uses your Mac’s built-in speakers and no headphones are connected. If echo reduction is not suitable, the original microphone recording remains available.

This helps prevent the other person’s voice from being picked up twice, supporting a cleaner transcript without making headphones a requirement. The processing runs locally on your Mac.

AirNote’s call-audio setup now confirms that macOS access can start without playing or listening for a test tone. The check briefly opens the real call-audio capture path and saves no audio or screen content.

This makes setup quieter and more reliable: silence is a valid success, while permission and restart problems still lead to clear next steps.

AirNote now handles a stalled local transcription or speaker-identification process more safely. It can restart the affected step once while keeping the recorded audio and saved processing work intact.

That means a rare processing problem is less likely to leave a session stuck or require you to quit and reopen AirNote, while the recording remains protected for recovery.

AirNote can now generate Notes from unusually long session transcripts that would previously hit the app’s earlier size limit. Existing sessions blocked by that limit can be retried from the saved transcript.

This gives longer or more detailed sessions a better chance of reaching a draft Note without splitting the transcript or repeating the session. Truly excessive or repeated input is still stopped with a clear message.

AirNote’s first-time setup no longer stops if you are not ready to grant microphone or system-audio access. You can now skip the permissions step and complete the rest of setup first.

This makes it easier to explore AirNote or prepare the app between sessions without being forced into a system prompt. The required audio permissions are still checked before recording, so access is deferred rather than bypassed.

AirNote can now recover more gracefully when a microphone is disconnected, reconnected or changed during a session. It also strengthens recovery after an interrupted recording and the way audio is saved while capture is in progress.

This gives therapists a more dependable recording experience in real-world setups, reducing the risk that a device change or interruption turns into lost work.

AirNote’s note-generation guidance is now stricter about separating what was said, observed and agreed from what was not established in the session.

Plans, risk conclusions, diagnoses, interventions and client responses are included only when supported by the session material. Unsupported sections are left out, producing drafts that are more precise, clinically responsible and easier to review.

AirNote’s local speech and speaker-attribution system has been upgraded to create a clearer, participant-aware transcript, especially for in-person conversations.

When AirNote cannot identify the therapist confidently, it asks for confirmation instead of guessing. The result is cleaner separation between therapist and client contributions, giving the generated note a stronger source.

Therapists can now sign in to AirNote with Google or Microsoft, alongside Apple, making it easier to use an account already connected to their practice.

Account, billing and sync workflows have been updated at the same time, creating a more consistent experience from first sign-in to everyday use.

AirNote can now create a dedicated summary for individual clinical supervision, rather than repurposing a therapy note.

The template captures de-identified case discussion, supervisory input, reflection, professional development, ethics and safeguarding, agreed actions and the focus for the next meeting. Recommendations and responsibilities remain clearly attributed and ready for review.
